This Privacy Policy describes how Dimitar Kolarov ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our website located at https://www.topibowl.com/ (the "Website"). The App and Website are collectively referred to as the "Services."

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information.

  1. Data Controller

    2. For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the data controller is Dimitar Kolarov, residing in Bulgaria. You can contact the data controller at support@topibowl.com.

  2. Information We Collect

    3. We collect a limited amount of information to provide and improve our Services:

    a. Information You Provide to Us:

    • Contact Information: When you contact us via email, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you provide in your message.
    • Custom Food Information: We collect the data you submit when creating custom foods within the App. This information is used to improve our food database.

    b. Information We Collect Automatically:

    • Standard Analytics Data: We collect standard, anonymized analytics data through App Store Connect. This includes information such as app usage, installations, and crash data. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
    • Advertising Attribution Data: The App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK and Google Firebase Analytics, which report app installs and subscription purchases, together with basic device information (such as device model, operating system version, and IP address), to Meta and Google for advertising measurement. The App does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across other apps; attribution relies on Apple's aggregated SKAdNetwork framework. See the "Advertising and Attribution" section below.
  3. iCloud Data Storage (iOS App)

    4. To protect your privacy, most of your personal data, including information about your dog (name, breed, weight, etc.), is stored directly on your device and backed up to your personal iCloud account. This data is not accessible to us and is governed by Apple's privacy policies.

  4. Android App: Account & Cloud Sync

    5. The Android version of the App offers an optional account (Google Sign-In) to back up your data and sync it across devices. If you create one, the data you choose to sync — your dogs' profiles and photos, meal logs, recipes, and app settings — is stored in our Google Firebase project and is accessible only to your account. The App is fully usable without an account. You can permanently delete your account and all data synced to it at any time, either from the App's Account screen or at topibowl.com/delete-account.html; deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.   5. How We Use Your Information

    6. We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

    • To improve our Services, particularly our food database, using the anonymized custom food information you provide.
    • To respond to your inquiries, comments, and questions when you contact us via email.
    • To monitor and analyze trends and usage through anonymized analytics to improve the user experience.
  6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

    7. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

    • Consent: We process your information when you contact us via email, based on your consent to communicate with us.
    • Legitimate Interests: We process custom food data, analytics data, and aggregated advertising-measurement data based on our legitimate interest in improving, maintaining, and promoting our Services.
  7. Sharing of Information

    8. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited data with third parties only as follows: aggregated and anonymized analytics data provided through Apple's App Store Connect service, and advertising-measurement data (app installs, subscription events, and basic device information) shared with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Google Ireland Ltd. as described in the "Advertising and Attribution" section below.

  8. Website Cookies

    9. On topibowl.com we use Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors browse the site — nothing more. Analytics cookies are off by default and are only set if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time via cookie preferences.

  9. Advertising and Attribution

    10. To understand which of our advertising campaigns are effective, the App includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK and Google Firebase Analytics. They report app installs and subscription purchases, together with basic device information (such as device model, operating system version, and IP address), to Meta and Google. Measurement is aggregate and campaign-level only: the App shows no ads, does not request App Tracking Transparency permission, does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites — attribution on iOS relies on Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework.   10. Data Retention

    11. We retain contact information from email communications for up to one year for communication purposes. Anonymized custom food data may be retained indefinitely to support the continuous improvement of our database.

    If you created an account in the TopiBowl Android app (Google Sign-In), you can permanently delete it, together with all data synced to it, from the app's Account screen or at topibowl.com/delete-account.html.

  11. Your Rights Under GDPR

    12. If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

    • The right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
    • The right to rectification: You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
    • The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
    • The right to restrict processing: You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
    • The right to object to processing: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
    • The right to data portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

  12. Children's Privacy

    13. Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under the age of 16, we will take steps to delete that information.

    14. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice.
