How it works
The tool adds your chosen interval to the last dose date repeatedly to build the next six due dates. The .ics file uses a UID-stable VEVENT for each occurrence so calendars can recognise updates if you regenerate.
Typical intervals:
- Monthly oral flea/tick (NexGard, Simparica) — 30 days
- Long-acting flea/tick (Bravecto) — 84 days (12 weeks)
- Heartworm prevention (Heartgard, Interceptor) — 30 days
- Routine adult deworming — 90 days
- Puppy deworming (2–12 weeks) — 14 days
The .ics file works on iPhone, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, Fantastical, and most modern calendar apps.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I give my dog flea and tick prevention? +
Most oral flea-and-tick products (NexGard, Bravecto, Simparica) are dosed every 30 days or every 12 weeks depending on the active ingredient. Topical products (Frontline, Advantix) are usually monthly.
How often should I deworm my dog? +
Adult dogs are typically dewormed every 3 months for routine intestinal parasites. Puppies need it more often — every 2 weeks from 2 to 12 weeks of age, then monthly until 6 months.
What is an .ics file? +
An .ics file is the universal calendar file format. You can open it on iPhone, Mac, Android, Google Calendar, Outlook, or Fantastical and the events will import as reminders.
Can I use this for heartworm prevention? +
Yes. Pick "Monthly" as the frequency and label the medication "Heartworm prevention". Most heartworm preventives are monthly.
What if I miss a dose? +
Give the missed dose as soon as you remember, then restart the schedule from that new date. For heartworm specifically, a gap longer than the dosing interval can mean your dog should be re-tested before resuming — ask your vet.
Is this medical advice? +
No. The tool helps you remember the schedule your vet or product label has already prescribed.
